National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) at WSU

Student Responses to NSSE Make a Difference! Since 2000, WSU students have been invited to take the NSSE, a survey centered around student engagement and the educational experiences available at WSU.

Student responses provide important information and help guide the institution. NSSE results have helped WSU expand student services, build living-learning communities that bridge classes and residence halls, and broaden undergraduate research opportunities with mentoring faculty.

Students:
Respond to the NSSE 2025 Survey

We want to hear about your experiences at WSU! Eligible first-year and senior students on every campus will have numerous opportunities to tell WSU about their student experience:

  • Five email invitations from NSSE on behalf of WSU President Kirk Schulz delivered March 3, 20, and 26, and April 1 and 7
  • A tile in the myWSU portal
  • A Canvas inbox message
  • Clicking through to myWSU from announcements or social media posts

For more information, see our NSSE Overview for Students.

Faculty & Staff:
Help Promote NSSE

We need your help to get the word out to eligible senior and first-year students on all WSU campuses about NSSE! Instructors, graduate students, staff, and leadership on all WSU campuses play an important role in encouraging students to participate in this biennial survey of student engagement.

The following materials are intended to help faculty and staff promote the NSSE 2025 survey at WSU:
